On Tuesday 6 September, a brand-new parking building was inaugurated at the Pepsico site in Veurne.
To address a shortage of parking spaces and provide more space for quality outdoor space, green areas and bicycles, the decision was made to develop a parking tower for 200 cars. An additional 7 parking spaces equipped with charging stations were included in the outdoor area.
All precast elements used were produced at our plant in Kluisbergen and assembled by our own crews.
The pressure layers (polished - 3,000m²), driveway ramps (semi-polished - 1,200m²), floor on full ground (polished - 840m²), floor on full ground (washed - 520m²) and the roadway (brushed - 850m²) were taken care of by our concrete roadway department.
The building includes 5 floors, the top one being a rooftop parking lot. It was finished watertight with a PMMA cast floor by our colleagues at GAMA.
Due to a non-continuous supply of pre-stressed vaults, the project was divided into phases. Thanks to shifting schedules and the intrinsic motivation of colleagues, the project was completed within the agreed-upon time frame despite the additional challenges.
The commitment of the Stadsbader team did not go unnoticed by the client, and we have since been entrusted with the second phase, the construction of an office building.
