History

The Stadsbader family business was founded in Harelbeke in 1946. Today, the company is run by third-generation Dominique Valcke.

The acquisitions of Deckx in Dessel (2009), Van Maercke Prefab in Kluisbergen (2014) and BAM Contractors (2022), today called Stadsbader Contractors, led to a solid expansion of the areas of specialization and a strengthening of the market position. The opening of its own steel production site in Malle (2024) also marked an important milestone in the multidisciplinary construction group's history.

Stadsbader Group is active at some 250 construction sites in Belgium and neighbouring countries. Driven by passion and with a keen eye for sustainability, our 1,850 entrepreneurial colleagues join forces. Our expertise in construction, infrastructure, engineering and civil works was brought together in four large Class 8 companies that complete multidisciplinary projects together.

We invest in long-term partnerships with dialogue, responsibility and mutual respect as the basis for good cooperation. Our versatility, capacity and flexibility allow us to work to short deadlines.

Vertical integration

Our portfolio covers various fields in the construction sector: road and infrastructure construction, industrial and commercial construction projects, civil works, demolition works, water treatment, sports infrastructure, artificial turf fields, maintenance services, signage, engineering and production of steel and precast concrete. This for both government and private clients.

Thanks to our own production sites for precast, steel, asphalt and concrete, recycling of secondary raw materials, soil remediation, production of piping and electrical cabinets, among others, as well as the many in-house machines at the sites, we strive for optimal project management and can respond quickly to changing factors.

Our wide range of expertise offers private and public clients a comprehensive and centrally coordinated project. Quality, innovation, sustainability and safety are always at the forefront of our concerns. This strong vertical integration also guarantees fast and quality custom execution.

Furthermore, we obtained the internationally acclaimed BREEAM and LEED sustainability certifications for several projects.

Teamwork

Our teamwork drives the company and is the formula for success behind each of our projects. Teamwork requires that each member of the team clearly understand their duties and responsibilities and the goal to be achieved. This requires unambiguous, clear and open communication, which we consistently maintain. This is done through interdepartmental or per-project consultations, clear reporting and clear action items and deadlines.

Stadsbader Group attaches great importance to the well-being of its employees and encourages a balanced and energetic lifestyle. Attention to ergonomics in the office, (sporting) team building, collective training and the biannual Stadsbader Quarter Triathlon are in line with this desire to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

We build as
one.
