E17 in Kortrijk ready for the first day of school

The last weekend of August, the redevelopment works on the E17 in Kortrijk were completed well in time. Thanks to the efforts of our colleagues who worked non-stop for 12 days, the road was ready on Friday and everything could be reopened early on Saturday morning.

In record time, 19,000 tons - or 655 trucks - of asphalt were laid, 500 tons for the base layer and 14,000 tons for the top layer. This renewed no less than 143,000 m² of motorway.

In addition to a brand new asphalt layer, the road now has new road markings, making traffic flow smoother and safer.
