Leader in low temperature asphalt production

Image

In 2019, as much as 110,915 tons of asphalt was produced at lower temperatures at our various depots.

The production of asphalt at reduced temperature results in a remarkable decrease in energy consumption and remarkably lower CO2 emissions. Traditional asphalt is produced at 160- 190°C; lower-temperature asphalt is produced at 130-155°C.

The lower temperature brings fuel savings of +/-1.5 litres per ton produced. For our 110,915 tons of asphalt produced, this means a saving of 444 tons of CO².

Given the benefits to both people and the environment, it pays to employ and further develop this production method. The noteworthy figures illustrate our commitment to a sustainable, green and quality approach in the construction industry.
