Major trump for Stadsbader at Open Day for Businesses with revamped site

In Kanaalstraat, near the E17 motorway, the well-known contractor for infrastructure works and large industrial projects, Stadsbader, invested in the expansion of its base of operations. Today, the new headquarters, which were recently opened, serve as the construction company's calling card. The NZEB building exudes dynamism, ambition and innovation: exactly the values that run like a thread through the contractor's policy. The 2018 edition of Open Day for Businesses on 7 October is therefore the perfect time to give all interested parties a unique look behind the scenes of the revamped site.

Leading companies in Belgium

The choice of a new wing was not accident. Dominique Valcke, CEO of Group Stadsbader: "For over 70 years we have been a fixture in the contracting world. Through several strategic acquisitions, continuous investments in our machinery, a solid customer base and large tenders such as the recent contract for the Oosterweel connection, the company has even made it to the Belgian top over the years. As a West Flanders company, we are therefore quite satisfied with what we have already accomplished to this day, but we soon found ourselves facing an acute lack of space." Doubling the area that today covers some 4,500 m2, spread over four floors and an underground parking garage, this brand-new office employs more than 100 people. Inside, the space includes a multipurpose room, state-of-the-art meeting rooms and a lounge that doubles as a dining area. The site's surroundings were also redesigned, resulting in a trendy oasis of tranquillity.

Third edition will be a real experience

Stadsbader is proud of its new office building. A contagious enthusiasm that the company enjoys sharing with local residents, customers and suppliers, politicians, employees' family and friends, and other interested parties over the weekend of the Open Day for Businesses.

"However, this is not our first project", says Dominique Valcke. "Back in 2006 we opened our branch in Harelbeke to the general public; a first participation that immediately proved to be a hit. We managed to attract some 4,000 visitors. Seven years later, this strong edition was followed up and interested parties were invited to visit our Dessel branch. The goal of both editions was to better inform visitors about Stadsbader's business activities. Throughout the tour, it quickly became clear that they were much more comprehensive than visitors initially thought. So this is the message we want to convey again this year through all kinds of interesting activities and workshops in our new company buildings and the rest of the site. It is certain that both young and old will not soon forget the visit. A sky watch, which offers a view of some of our construction yards from a height of about ten meters, already offer a unique experience."

Those who are tantalized to get started at Stadsbader after the visit will definitely have their fill at the job booth. "We are always looking for enthusiastic colleagues who can appropriately fill our wide variety of vacancies. You can build on Stadsbader," added an elated CEO.
