On Monday 6 May 2024, the symbolic starting signal for the preparatory works on the station was given in De Pinte by NMBS and Infrabel. Vincent Van Peteghem – Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and acting mayor of De Pinte, Sophie Dutordoir – CEO of NMBS and Benoît Gilson – CEO of Infrabel witnessed this moment.
The work will be carried out by our Stadsbader team and will make De Pinte station fully accessible in 2027.
In concrete terms, the platforms will be extended, raised and renovated, lifts will be added to each platform and platforms 1 and 4 will get additional ramps and stairs. In addition, the existing underpass will be renovated.
All this should increase comfort and accessibility for travellers who travel daily from, via or to De Pinte.
