Tree planted at Westoever 2

On Thursday 21 November, a tree was planted at our Westoever 2 site in Harelbeke. In keeping with medieval tradition, a tree is planted at the highest point of the building, as the "crowning touch" of this first phase in the project. The hope is that the building may become as large, stable and durable as a tree. The contractor and architect, Stadsbader and EL Architects respectively, were thanked by the building owner, in this case ROC Realty, for the work done.

Westoever 2 is a residential project consisting of 28 apartments and underground parking. It is the second project on the site, hence the name Westoever2. During the event, Stefanie Valcke of Bistierland provided the welcome address and some explanation of the previous and next phase of the apartment building. It was a warm gathering in a chilly location!
