Weber Grimbergen

Flexibility and vertical Integration within Stadsbader

Along the Tangebeek in Grimbergen, near the famous Verbrande Brug, we constructed a new logistics warehouse for Saint-Gobain Weber. This manufacturer of ready-mix mortars commissioned us for a turnkey project to build a warehouse with offices covering nearly 5,000 m². The warehouse is constructed from concrete columns, steel trusses, and finished with interior boxes, façade cladding, and steel deck. The front façade is clad with 3D-printed concrete panels. The office section consists of concrete columns, hollow-core slabs, beams, and masonry façades, completed with mortars from Weber itself.

The masonry, made from elongated façade bricks with joints of only 4mm, required precision to achieve a neat result. Mission accomplished, as Weber is just as satisfied with the result as we are!

The 3D-printed concrete panels were produced in Weber’s 3DCP factory in Eindhoven. Our engineering department went on-site beforehand to conduct necessary tests and verify everything technically, considering stacking, transport, and assembly. This was no luxury, as the panels were extremely fragile, which is why the insulation was only applied once the 3D façade was securely in place. A beautiful first for both us and Weber!

From the ground and foundation works to the full concrete and steel assembly, to finishing touches and exterior landscaping, this project brought together several specialisations from Stadsbader. Once again, this proves that Stadsbader is the perfect partner for versatile construction projects!
